Rest

Resting is extremely important. While too much rest can cause your muscles to weaken, you should make sure that you are resting the affected areas as often as you can. When you rest, it takes some of the tension off of your legs, keeping them from having to work harder. Rest and sleep also allow your body the time it needs to heal. So, if you’re dealing with leg pain, give your legs a break by sitting or lying down for a while. 

Stretching

You should stretch sore muscles to help eliminate the pain. When you stretch, you’re warming the muscles up. Warm muscles are more pliable than cold muscles, making them better able to cope with pain or potential injury. Massage 

Massage can be a great way to reduce your leg pain. During a massage, the massage therapist uses their hands to warm up your muscles and eliminate tension from them. This results in relaxed, warm muscles. The more relaxed your muscles are, the more flexible they are. Reduced tension can also eliminate pain. Since massage is good for physical and mental tension, you get the benefits of eliminating both of those, which can help with your pain levels.

In physical therapy, a professional will work with you to determine the best ways to treat your pain and strengthen your legs. They’ll use a combination of work in the office and exercises that you’ll do at home on your own. By working with a physical therapist, you can eliminate pain and treat the underlying conditions that caused it in the first place.
